Meet Monica, a nine month old Shepherd mix weighing around 50 pounds. Monica’s journey started off a little scary — she was found dodging traffic, unsure and overwhelmed. But since coming to us, she’s blossomed into a loving, energetic girl who`s ready for her fresh start! She’s eager to please, sticks close to her people, and already knows commands like “sit” and “down.” When left to her own devices in the house she can sometimes chew on stuff she may not be supposed to, but that is very common with her age and intelligence. Crate training will definitely prevent her from getting into stuff she isn`t supposed to when you aren`t there and she is very smart so she should pick up what is and isn`t appropriate to do in a home quickly. Monica is the kind of dog who just wants to be guided with kindness and shown what it means to be part of a family. She’s also great with other dogs and would love a playmate to romp around with.If you`re looking for a sweet, active companion who’s ready to learn and love, Monica is your girl! This pet is available for adoption on 5/18/2025 at 5:08 PM at the Yakima Humane Society adoption center.
