Meet Shasta, a one year old Husky/Pit mix weighing 50 pounds.Shasta’s early life was a little chaotic — she was surrendered to Animal Control after living in a home with too many dogs who were often found roaming the streets. Now safe and cared for, Shasta is ready for a fresh start with a family who will love and protect her the way she deserves.With her stunning blue eyes and soft, expressive face, Shasta will catch your attention — but it’s her sweet and gentle nature that will steal your heart. She’s a true velcro dog, happiest when she’s close to her people, checking in often and walking beautifully on leash by your side.Friendly, affectionate, and easy to love, Shasta is the kind of pup who will thrive in a calm, loving home where she can feel safe and stay close to her humans.If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a heart of gold and eyes like the sky, Shasta is waiting to meet you. This pet is available for adoption on 8/8/25 at the Yakima Humane Society adoption center.
