My story

Adorable puppy alert! This sweet and cuddly girl, Cinnamon, was found wandering along Parkside Avenue two weeks before arriving at the shelter. Her finder shared that she had been doing well around strangers, animals, and children, and showed no signs of illness or injury. Unfortunately, the finder was unable to keep her due to housing restrictions, but they made sure to bring her somewhere safe. Since arriving, she’s been nothing short of delightful. While she was initially a little shy coming out of her kennel, she quickly warmed up and became a wiggly, loving companion. Loud shelter noises can still spook her, but once she’s in a quieter space, she truly shines. In the volunteer room, she became the star of the show—soaking up affection, staying loose and happy, and even helping make enrichment treats. She’s easy to handle, friendly, and loves to cuddle—everything you’d want in a best friend. She LOVES laying her head on your lap and looks so cute doing so. She loved exploring in the yard today. She didn’t seem too interested in toys just yet but she sure did love getting some pepperoni! She an absolute sweetheart and I am so tempted to scoop her up myself and bring her home. Volunteer 6/25/25- omg i am obsessed with this little nugget! She was a little nervous at first coming out of her kennel but once I had her out, she was a loose wiggly girl. The loud noises of the shelter did scare her so I did have to pick her up to walk her through. I brought her into the volunteer room where she was the center of attention, getting all the pets and love. She was even kind enough to help us out making some enrichment treats! She was such a good helper. She was loose and wiggly the entire time in the volunteer office! Medical Notes: 06/25/2025 Weight: 24.8 lbs Vaccinations completed: Rabies, Bordetella, DHPP (Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Adenovirus, Parainfluenza) Snap Parvo Test: Negative Exam: Eyes clear, ears clean, gums healthy, coat in good condition, hydrated, female intact, no mobility concerns Behavior: “Such a Sweet Puppy!
