My story

Introducing Oliver! Social Playful Affectionate Smart Hi, I’m Oliver! I’m a gentle, affectionate Great Dane with just the right mix of playfulness and calm. I’m the kind of dog who’ll lean right into you for pets, then sprawl out across the couch like I own it. Whether we’re playing, snuggling, or watching TV together, I’m happiest when I’m near my people. I love meeting new people—men, women, you name it. I might give a few barks at first, but once I know you’re friendly, I’m quick to settle and lean in for some love. I’ve lived with other dogs and even a cat! I’m playful and easygoing with my dog pals, and with cats, I’m curious but respectful—I won’t chase or bother them. I haven’t lived with kids before, so if my forever family includes little ones, I’d just need some slow, structured introductions to get to know them. Likes:• Sniffing around outside• Frozen carrots• Playing with other dogs• Snuggling on the couch• Watching TV Dislikes:• Being left out of the fun I’ve got my basics down—sit, stay, down, come, and go. I’m crate-trained and will even put myself in the crate on my own to relax. I sleep through the night, and I’m fully housebroken and non-destructive when left alone. I walk nicely on a leash most of the time, but if I see another dog I want to meet, I might get a little excited and pull. Some ongoing leash training would help me keep improving. I’m in excellent health and feeling great! Forever Home Wishlist:• A physical fence would be great, but it’s not a deal-breaker• I’d love a family who’s home often, but I can handle being alone for 8+ hours if needed• Another dog would be a fun bonus, but I’m fine as a solo guy too• I’ve got a big bark, so an apartment might not be the best fit Fun Fact: I’m totally fascinated by ants—I’ll sit and watch them, trying to figure out what they’re up to. I also love watching nature documentaries and have been caught trying to sniff the animals on the screen. What can I say? I’m a curious guy!
