My story

Meet Tokyo – calm, soulful, and irresistibly snuggly.This mellow guy is the definition of a couch companion. He’s happiest curled up beside you, soaking in all the love, belly rubs, and quiet moments you’re willing to share. Tokyo has that old-soul gaze that makes you feel like he understands everything you’re saying—and maybe even a little more. He’s not demanding, just gently affectionate, often approaching with a soft look and a belly ready for rubs.Don’t let his laid-back vibe fool you, though—Tokyo loves to play, especially with his siblings and the resident dog in his foster home. He doesn’t jump all over her or act wild; instead, he pounces around her playfully and covers her in kisses. He’s respectful, sweet, and clearly adores having a furry friend to hang out with. Oh, and one of his favorite things in the world? Water! Whether it’s a splash pad, a kiddie pool, or just a hose in the yard, Tokyo is all in. He’s also mostly potty trained and picking up good habits quickly in his foster home.Tokyo is one of 11 puppies in our Cities Litter, part of a large-scale rescue of 30 bottle babies found struggling to survive on a rural Texas property. These puppies were living amongst trash, starving, and covered in fleas and parasites. Thanks to a team of devoted fosters, all 30 puppies were bottle-fed around the clock and finally given the chance to grow up safe, healthy, and loved.Now thriving in a foster home in Fort Worth, Texas, Tokyo is blossoming into the perfect blend of playful and peaceful. Born on May 3, 2025, he’s still a young pup and will need continued training, structure, and support to grow into the incredible companion he’s destined to be.If you’re looking for a gentle, thoughtful pup who brings calm, cuddles, and just the right amount of fun, Tokyo might be your perfect match.All of our dogs are located in a foster home in Texas, Colorado, or Pennsylvania. Our dogs are transported to a predetermined location agreed upon by the rescue. The adoption contract and fee are finalized prior to transport. As a Mutts N Such direct adoption, the adoption interview/meet and greet occurs on video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Facetime, etc).Our out of state adoption fee is $350 plus transport (varies by location). This fee includes all current vaccinations, deworming, a registered microchip, fecal analysis, spay/neuter for pets 6 months & older, and a heartworm test if over 6 months old. All dogs will be current on flea/heartworm prevention. A health exam will be completed and a certificate issued by a veterinarian within 10 days.
