My story

Miss Fuzzbutt is at our shelter. Please submit an application from our website or just come in to meet her during open hours! Scroll through her pictures to see her videos! Miss Fuzzbutt is an adorable medium sized and middle aged beauty who hails all the way from Louisiana! She is a perfect size and a perfect age if you ask us. With her scruffy and wiry coat and whiskers, she is straight out of a central casting call for "adorable street dog"! Of course, Miss Fuzzbutt is anything but that-- she is a proper lady, but she is no diva. She is so easygoing, sweet, gentle, and a touch shy. She opens up easily though, and loves to lean in for pets and go for leisurely walks in her new neighborhood. She is adjusting very well to the sudden change, and we know she will blossom even more with time. Fuzzbutt loves other dogs, and is great in playgroup. She is a gentle and dainty player who likes companionship vs rough-housing. Her roomie in the kennel is Concord, one of our sweetest helper dogs, and he is giving her a confidence boost! Miss Fuzzbutt is so special to us, and will be to anyone who has a heart for the shy ones in the shelter who maybe do not show as well. She is not the dog who is going to meet a new person in a room and run up to them for pets and kisses. And that is ok! It is so meaningful when those dogs open up to you, and when they wag their tails at the sight of you for the first time! Miss Fuzzbutt loves the staff and volunteers and does that for us- she shows us her happy and silly side, her playful side (yes she does play bows!), and everything that is so beautiful and special about her. It just takes a bit more time for someone new to see that (but--we added lots of cute videos so you have an idea!). We hope you will ask about our special Fuzzbutt today. We hope that she will find herself in a new home, and please lord with a new name (ha!), very soon! Miss Fuzzbutt’s adoption fee is $300. This animal is spayed, up to date on core vaccines, and Heartworm negative.
