My story

Fans of the musical “West Side Story” can doubtlessly sing along to every word of the song “Maria”:“Maria . . .The most beautiful sound I ever heard. All the beautiful sounds of the world in a single word . . .Maria!I`ve just met a girl named Maria,And suddenly that nameWill never be the sameTo me.”We’ve got a perfect pup named Maria who blushed with delight when we sang this song to her! To think that Bernstein and Sondheim had her in mind when writing this song just tickled her pink- please don’t burst her bubble by telling her it was not actually written about her. We’re pretty sure that if you take her home, you’ll be singing it sweetly every night! Maria’s volunteer friends are cheering her on as she waits patiently for her furever home, with one sharing:“Maria was laying calmly in her kennel when I came to take her out today. I tossed a treat in and was easily able to enter and leash her up. She went potty as soon as we got outside of the building and we headed out for a walk. She wasn’t interested in straying far from the shelter, so instead, we came back and sat in a play yard together. She is a cautious and sweet girl who would approach gently for pets and treats. I saw her a few weeks back in a yard with her kennelmate and she was playful, had positive interactions with her kennelmate, and shared space and attention politely. She`s a sensitive girl who is struggling a bit in the shelter, but I`m sure that once she gets into a home and is allowed to decompress from the constant noise and stimulation, that she will open right up again! I sure hope she gets out soon!” Maria shares her kennel with another PACC pup would like to meet any resident dogs before going home to ensure a good fit. We guarantee that if you take a chance on Maria, your life will never be the same and you’ll find yourself singing the most beautiful sound ever heard- Maria!
