My story

MEET MACARONI! The first thing you should know about Macaroni is that he loves to love and be loved! How this handsome lover-boy wound up in Devore Animal Shelter in December 2023 is beyond us. What's more, the shelter initially labeled him Rescue Only, which means they observed him demonstrating some kind of behavioral aggression. Our best guess is that Macaroni, estimated to be about two years old upon intake, was outraged that a being filled with so much affection toward humans would be abandoned at a shelter for the unloved, unwanted, and homeless. Once rescued, we quickly discovered Macaroni's heart burst with affection toward everyone he encountered. He's exceptionally friendly but can show his feisty side when he's not given ample pets, hugs, and love. Physical touch is Macaroni's love language. When he's not actively seeking your attention and affection, he resorts to his next favorite thing: food. Macaroni devours breakfasts, lunches, dinners, and snacks with passionate gusto! He boasts a spectacularly impressive digestive system, so expect to keep plenty of food, treats, and cat litter in high supply. Macaroni enjoys the company of other kitties and welcomes the opportunity to make the acquaintance of doggies, too... as long as they don't mind getting punked first.
