My story

Meet Silk – Purr Machine, Climbing Queen, and Professional Lap Flopper!!  Silk is a sleek 9 month old black kitten with fancy white accents and a purr that sounds like a tiny lawnmower trapped in a love spiral. She’s got the looks and the snuggles – basically the total package in a fun-sized fuzzball. Her favorite hobby? Belly rubs. This silly kitten will happily nap on her back, paws in the air like a feline trust fall, right across your lap. She’s a champion cuddler with zero sense of personal space (just the way we like it). But don’t be fooled by the snuggle act – Silk is also a fearless adventurer. She climbs like she’s training for the Cat-lympics, chases string like it owes her money, and loves to perch up high so she can judge you lovingly from above. Silk is looking for a home that’s equal parts jungle gym and cuddle palace. If you’re in the market for a ridiculously cute, sweet, and slightly dramatic kitten who thinks she’s both a panther and a teddy bear, Silk is your girl. Silk would be find in almost any home. We feel she would be great with kids and other cats. Since Silk is a kitten, she must be adopted to a home with another young cat.  We have not tested her with dogs but think she would be ok with a laid back dog.  Silk is currently on a gastrointestinal diet (Purina EN), which has been managing her digestive issues well.  Any changes to her diet should be made in consultation with a veterinarian. Cats are negative for FelV/FIV, receive age-appropriate vaccines and deworming, are spayed/neutered and are microchipped (free lifetime registration with adoption). All of our pets go home with a "Go Home Goody Bag" that includes a starter supply of food, treats, toys, and a voucher for a free month of pet insurance from Trupanion.
