My story

Meet Boba! A super chill two-year-old Domestic Short Hair/American Short Hair mix currently living in Somerville, MA, whose laid-back personality and soft gray tabby stripes are as comforting as a summer breeze. Boba is the kind of cat who lives life on his own terms—with a perfect blend of independence, curiosity, and charm—and he’s looking for a new loving home that understands the joy of a free spirit. Boba thrives in a warm, peaceful environment with access to the great outdoors. He’s happiest when he can stretch his legs under the sun, chase flickering lights, and explore his surroundings before trotting home for a nap or a chat. Yes, Boba’s quite the conversationalist! He’s vocal in the most endearing way and makes a great companion for someone who enjoys a little back-and-forth with their feline friend. Though Boba enjoys the company of caring adults, he prefers a calm, child-free space where he can relax and feel safe. He’s friendly and affectionate—never one to scratch or bite—and has a respectful approach to both people and other animals. He gets along well with other cats (though he may need a little time to warm up) and coexists peacefully with neighborhood dogs. This 9-pound gent doesn’t ask for much—just his favorite Fancy Feast Turkey wet food, a few light-chasing games, and the freedom to come and go as he pleases. Boba’s perfect guardian would be someone who understands his need for outdoor time and can offer a safe and loving environment where he can return home for rest, cuddles, and conversation. Fully vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, and healthy, Boba is ready to bring his unique blend of mellow vibes and low-key adventure into your life. If you're someone who values quiet companionship with a splash of quirky charm, could Boba be the feline friend you've been waiting for? If you think your heart—and your windowsill—has room for a cool cat like Boba, reach out to adopt@joyfulpets.com! Wouldn’t it be wonderful to have a new friend who’s always ready to roam, relax, and talk about his day?

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Boba, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
