My story

What a sweet, beautiful face this lady has. One look into her soulful eyes and you will fall in love. Meet our sweet natured girl, Joy. She is a five-year-old mixed breed girl. She is a medium sized dog weighing 50 pounds. This beautiful girl is the mother to two of our other rescue dogs, Kai and Chance. Now that her mothering duties are behind her, Joy is looking for her forever home where she can show you all the love she has to give. Joy is good with dogs and children and would welcome both into her home. She has not had an introduction to a feline so at this time, it is unknown if she would be accepting of a feline friend. Joy would be the perfect dog for a home that is looking to give a little bit of an older dog a home. She has a good number of years left to enjoy life with her family and she is eagerly anticipating her bright and loving future. She envisions herself playing fetch, running around the backyard, going on walks and hikes, going for an enjoyable car ride or just snuggling on the couch. She is currently house trained and continues to work on her crate and leash training. Although Joy is housetrained, it is important to remember that accidents can occur while adjusting to a new home environment. This beautiful lady wants to create years of happy memories with you. You will be so grateful that you found Joy. As with any new dog, she will need patience and consistency in her training so she can be the best dog possible. Ultimately all she wants to do is live a happy life in her new forever home.* When considering adoption, keep in mind that dogs thrive on structure and routine. They adjust much better when their owners are committed to providing consistency and stability. Will you give her the opportunity? The adoption fee for Joy is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees. To get the ball rolling, head over to our Adoption Application and submit your application today. A Dog Star representative will contact you within 24 hours. To speed up the process, contact your vet and give them permission to speak with us.If you do not get a response within 24 hours, check your spam folder.July 14, 2025, 7:06 am

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Joy, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
