Fanta

My story

Fanta is a calm, super social, confident cat who makes friends pretty effortlessly and gets along with everyone — people, kiddos, dogs, cats, you name it. He was part of a neighborhood cat colony, and his TNR rescuer says Fanta was just “too sweet for the streets.” He was affectionate to his feeders and spent time indoors, where he loved playing looking out the window and cuddling. She says Fanta showed no reservations around their two dogs, even giving them tail rubs as he passed by. Fanta, like many of the former “outdoor” cats we take in, is FIV +. That means he is healthy but has an underlying virus that can make it harder for him to fight off infections. FIV + cats can typically live long, healthy lives like other cats, and they cannot spread the virus to humans or other species. At this point, Fanta is thriving and shows no sign of infection other than a positive blood test. On his surrender form, she writes, “He is a sweet, calm boy. I wish we had more room in our house for hm. Fanta would love a home where he can get lots of love and attention. He’d LOVE to have some window perches where he can soak in the sun, and he’d be so happy for a soft place to sleep.
