My story

Male, 1 year old, 49 lbs, Husky mix Personality: outgoing, easygoing, energetic, smart, adaptable, calm, gentle, playful, and adventurous. Meet Brando, a total sweetheart with movie-star good looks and the personality to match. He's friendly, fun, and full of love - whether he’s greeting every passerby or charming the socks off visitors, Brando just wants to make friends and soak up any affection on offer. Brando is excellent with people and enthusiastic (but respectful!) around other dogs. He’s still a curious puppy at heart but he redirects well and is eager to please. Brando is crate trained, house trained, and learning other behaviors quickly - he’s already mastering leash manners and is working on words like "sit" and "stay" too. He sleeps soundly through the night and rarely barks. Brando thrives with both physical and mental exercise - daily walks, sunbathing, or a toy-filled adventure will keep him content. If you’re looking for a smart and loyal sidekick with a goofy grin and striking, soulful eyes, Brando’s your guy. Apply today to meet him! ___________________________________________________________________ If you are interested in meeting a dog or cat, we require an adoption application. If the animal has "HAS APPLICATION" listed, they are still available to receive additional applications but also may be in the process of being adopted soon. Apply for a DOG: http://www.citydogsrescuedc.org/adoptable-dogs.html Interested in saving more lives? Foster a dog today! Learn more, see our list of dogs needing foster, and apply, https://www.citydogsrescuedc.org/foster-a-city-dog.html City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is a foster-based rescue in Washington, DC. We do not have a shelter. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first-served model). Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter for dogs six months and older. We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam before adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCK. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us. Dog specific: Rabies, DHPP, Lepto and Bordetella vaccines. They are tested for HW, Lyme, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis. Most cats and dogs will have a house-training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Brando, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
