My story

Meet the lovely Cherry Garcia! She arrived at the shelter as a lost girl on 6/13, and sadly, no one has come to reclaim her. The volunteers just adore this little lady, and describe her as having an old soul even though she is not a senior in age. She is super sweet and easygoing; calm and quiet in her kennel. Cherry Garcia has had puppies in the past, but soon she'll be taking the "no more puppies" pledge. She is also quite the intelligent gal and knows the following commands: sit, down, stay, and shake. If Cherry Garcia sounds like the low key new BFF you've been searching for, please come meet her. Cherry Garcia is approximately 6 years old and weighs 55 lbs. She is UTD on vaccines and will be spayed and microchipped upon adoption. Unfortunately, she did test positive for heartworms, but with proper treatment and care she can go on to live a long and healthy life. Please speak with shelter staff about the option of fostering to adopt while she receives treatment. Cherry Garcia is waiting patiently in run 826; her ID # is 10893. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heartworm or combo test and a microchip.
