My story

**Note: Currently, Soonbong is in a foster home in Toronto. Background: This sweet girl, Soonbong, was rescued early this spring from a city pound in Chuncheon as part of our Save 100 Dogs Project. She lived with other dogs in a boarding house until she left Korea. Currently, she is in a foster home in Toronto. Personality and Socialization: Soonbong got her name because she’s so gentle and listens well (“Soonbong” means gentle and obedient). She has a low to medium energy level and a very quiet, sweet nature. She can be a little shy when she first meets someone, but she’s good with everyone, including men and strangers – she just needs a little time to warm up. Once she does, she’s very gentle, obedient, and loving with people. She really is cute and lovely! With other dogs, Soonbong is respectful and prefers to hang out with friendly and gentle dogs. She doesn’t like dogs that are too bossy or overly energetic. We don’t know if she’s met cats or young children, but with a slow and careful introduction, she would likely do well. Behaviours: Soonbong is a good traveler in the car and behaves well at the vet and during baths. She doesn’t have a lot of experience walking on a leash yet, but she follows her person very well and loves being outside. Indoors, she’s very quiet and rarely barks. We haven’t seen any signs of her being anxious when left alone. Health and Diet: When Soonbong was rescued, she had anaplasmosis, but she received treatment and is now healthy and ready for her forever home! She is spayed, microchipped, and has all her current vaccinations. She also takes monthly medicine to prevent fleas, ticks, and heartworm. She doesn’t seem to have any allergies and eats dry food twice a day. Ideal Home: Soonbong is a very easygoing girl and simple to care for. She would be a great match for someone looking for a quiet, mellow dog who is also calm and a bit independent. Someone who is retired or works from home and can spend a lot of time with her would be wonderful. Whoever adopts this cutie will be very lucky! ---------------- To learn more about Soonbong or to submit your adoption application, please follow the link below. https://www.freekoreandogs.org/dog/soonbong/

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Soonbong, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
