My story

Sweet, shy Yorkie mix is 8-9 years old and weighs approximately 15 pounds. Brownie is a sweet natured boy. He is completely housetrained and lets you know when he needs to go out. He is curious but cautious with other dogs on walks but has lived with other dogs harmoniously.  He is calm in the house and only barks when someone comes to the door. He attaches quickly to his primary caregiver and sleeps with his foster mom, cuddled up. Likes his bed and the pillows on the couch. Not destructive and is not really interested in toys. He loves his food! So be careful when he sits by you as you are eating and gives you that look. He loves to be under the covers and is happy when you put a blanket completely over him. Brownie walks well on the leash and  will  go up to strangers for a sniff but does not engage .  He is a cautious with visitors in the house but comes to them after a while, especially if they have treats for him. As a shy boy, he needs kindness and patience to built confidence and trust. He backs away under a chair if someone comes at him too quickly. He does not like to be picked up but likes to sit beside you and be petted. Once you become his person, he will follow you from room to room. He is not a high maintenance dog. He's had some skin allergies in the past but they are kept under control with medication and special shampoo.  He has not had any flare-ups in a while.
