My story

Charlie Craggs A17573242 lb. neutered male, approx 2 years old -You have to meet this boy in person to truly appreciate the cuteness overload! He’s a shorty with a longer body and all adorbs! -He is a little nervous and slow to warm up but perks up for the crinkling of a treat bag!-He’s food motivated, sits and takes snacks nicely-He’s not currently playing with toys. He chased a ball for a second but never touched it. I bet eventually he will be a playful boy!-When I sat on the floor he came right over and got in between my legs. Seemed to enjoy all the pets. I stopped petting and he stayed….content to just hang out.-Charlie boy needs a little time to build his confidence-He walks slow and steady on a leash but thresholds make his pause. He needs encouragement and time to get comfortable.-Seems non reactive to dogs nearby and may do well living with a fur sibling after slow and proper intros Unknown behavior with dogs/cats/kids•Meet all of our adoptable pets on our website friendsofdacc.org/adopt •Please keep in mind that the shelter can be a very stressful environment. •Studies show that a minimum of 3 days decompression drastically lower stress hormones and allow the dog to show more personality after they have settled in. •There is a suggested donation of $100 for our dogs, payable by cash, check or through paypal at the time of the adoption. •To meet them please go to front door and a DACC staff member will assist you with adoption or fostering. **And when coming to meet one of our dogs, please bring all the humans with you, but leave any current dogs at home. Staff will go over how to slowly and properly introduce them after a decompression period.** •The shelter is open 7 days a week from 10:30-5:30 **1431 E Ferry St. Detroit
