My story

Hazel A17537243 lb. spayed female, approx 2 years old -Very nervous to start and it may take her awhile to warm up-Inside she started to relax and open up more-Once she trusted me she started doing some play bows and pawing at me to play. Then flopped over for belly rubs.-With even more time she started giving some kisses-She’s not interested in treats currently but know “sit”-She briefly engaged in play with a stuffie. I think she has a playful side just waiting to come out!-Decent on leash put can pull some-Seems non reactive to dogs nearby and may do well living with a fur sibling after slow and proper intros Unknown behavior with dogs/cats/kids•Meet all of our adoptable pets on our website friendsofdacc.org/adopt •Please keep in mind that the shelter can be a very stressful environment. •Studies show that a minimum of 3 days decompression drastically lower stress hormones and allow the dog to show more personality after they have settled in. •There is a suggested donation of $100 for our dogs, payable by cash, check or through paypal at the time of the adoption. •To meet them please go to front door and a DACC staff member will assist you with adoption or fostering. **And when coming to meet one of our dogs, please bring all the humans with you, but leave any current dogs at home. Staff will go over how to slowly and properly introduce them after a decompression period.** •The shelter is open 7 days a week from 10:30-5:30 **1431 E Ferry St. Detroit
