My story

Hi there, I’m Moxie!I’m a 2-year-old Boxer–Mountain Cur mix with a soft white and tan coat, gentle eyes, and a heart that’s ready to love big. I weigh about 49 pounds, which makes me just the right size for both adventures and snuggles—and I really love both! 🐾I’ll admit it… I can be a little shy when I first meet new people, but give me just a little time and patience, and I promise you’ll see my goofy, affectionate, kiss-giving self shine through. Once I’m comfy, I love to cuddle up close, smother you in kisses, and do my signature jelly bean dance when I get excited (you’ve got to see it—it's ridiculously cute 💃).Because I’m a Boxer–Mountain Cur mix, I’ve got a lot going for me: I’m smart, loyal, and eager to learn. Mountain Curs are known for their intelligence and trainability, and Boxers are famously friendly and playful—so I’m basically the best of both worlds! I’d do amazing with someone who’s ready to keep teaching me cool things. I’m a fast learner and love making my humans proud. 🧠I walk great on a leash (no pulling here!), load easily into a car, and ride pretty well too. I’m also crate trained, and while I can’t promise I’m fully housetrained just yet, I know how to use a doggie door and always try to do my business outside in the yard part of my kennel. With a little consistency, I’ll have it all down in no time!I’m great with other dogs and people of all ages—from bouncy kids to sweet seniors. I love being part of the family and getting attention from everyone. However, I’m not a fan of cats or chickens, so I’d do best in a home without them. Just dogs and humans, please! If you’re looking for a loving, happy, and playful girl who’ll be your best friend, your snuggle buddy, and your hiking partner all in one, I think we could be a perfect match. 💕I’m already spayed, microchipped, and fully vaccinated, so I’m ready to go home whenever you are!📞 Call the shelter at 479-394-5682 and come meet me soon—I’ll be here waiting with tail wags and kisses just for you! 🐶****************All animals at HSO are current on their vaccinations and will be spayed/neutered prior to adoption. If not already spayed/neutered, there may be a short delay between when you select this pet and when they are ready to go home.Breed and age are determined based on observable physical traits. Actual lineage and birth date are rarely known.Adoption Fees:-$60 for cats-$60 for dogs over 6 years-$80 for dogs 6 months old to 6 years-$100 for puppies up to 6 monthsCome visit our pets Tuesday-Saturday, 10am-2pm.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Moxie, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
