My story

We have an incredible story to share about this sweet 5-year-old gentleman named Max. Max came to our shelter as a stray, but thanks to a microchip, we were able to trace his history back to his original owner. You won`t believe what we discovered!Three years ago, Max went missing from his home in Texas, leaving his owner in complete shock when we contacted her! It turns out someone picked him up and brought him all the way to North Carolina, which makes his reunion a bit tricky. Unfortunately, due to her current living situation, she can`t bring him back home. So now, we`re on a mission to find Max the perfect forever home!Max has been on quite the adventure, and his journey serves as a reminder: if you find a stray animal, please do not take them out of their county or state, as it makes it much harder to reunite them with their families. As for Max`s personality, he is a laid-back sweetheart who gets along wonderfully with other dogs. We can totally see him being your ideal house hippo and your favorite couch companion. If you`re looking for a calm companion to share your life with, Max might just be the one for you. Let`s help Max find that final loving home! If you`re interested in meeting Max or learning more about him, please visit us at the shelter.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt MAX, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
