My story

If we can tell you one thing with absolute certainty, it’s that you simply won’t find a sweeter dog than Iris! As pretty as the flower that she’s named after and as gentle and loving as they come, this girl is truly something special. Here’s what one volunteer fan said about her:“Iris is an extremely sweet older lady. We don’t do much walking when I take her out, just snuggling in the shade. She is a little shy but she really loves cuddles and attention and watching the world go by as we hang out together. She has some medical issues and would be a really easy house guest for someone who wants quiet company!!”Iris is looking to be a calm companion to someone who will shower her with love and let her live out her couch potato dreams. She has some heart problems that are managed with medication and that makes her particularly vulnerable in the shelter environment. Because of this, Iris has found herself on the shelter’s urgent placement and needs to find a foster or adopter soon.
