My story

All About Me Name: Cookie Age: 2 years old Gender: Female Spayed: Scheduled Breed: Dachshund Mix Color: White Weight: 10 kg / 22 lbs Microchip: Yes   My Personality Hello! My name is Cookie. My mom Peanut was rescued along with 4 of us. We were staying at a city shelter for a while, but due to the limited capacity, the city shelter could no longer keep us unclaimed. Sadly, we were up on the list to be euthanized, and on the last minute, a rescuer visited the city shelter to save us! Thanks to their sweet heart, we now have a second chance to find our forever home. I’ve got a heart full of affection and a playful spirit. I may take a moment or two to get to know you especially if you’re new but if you have a treat in hand and a kind voice, I’ll be by your side in no time. Once I feel safe, I love being petted, carried, and even show off my belly to the people I trust. People say I have the most adorable face and I’ve noticed I get a lot of compliments on my looks! I’m sweet, loyal, and always ready to follow you if you call my name. I enjoy attention, and if I ever use my voice to ask for something, I stop right away when gently reminded. I just like to express myself sometimes!   Social Skills - With People: I warm up quickly and truly enjoy human company. I might need about 30 minutes to get comfortable with someone new, but once we’ve bonded, I’ll be your affectionate little shadow.   - With Other Dogs: I’m friendly and outgoing with other pups especially those close to my size. I greet new dogs politely, and even if someone’s a bit feisty, I tend to walk away and keep the peace.   - With Cats: I haven’t met any cats yet, so I’m not sure how I’d feel but I’m open to learning!   On My Walks‍ Walks are one of my favorite times of day. I’ve had some good experience with the leash and enjoy following my person’s lead. Sometimes I walk politely beside them, and other times I get a little excited and tug forward but I’m always eager to explore together.   Life at Home I’m a well-mannered girl. I rarely bark, and when I do, it’s usually to let you know I’d love something like playtime or a cuddle. I’m flexible when it comes to bathroom habits I can go outdoors or use pee pads indoors if needed. I don’t guard food, and I get along well with both people and pups during mealtimes.   My Ideal Home I would thrive in a home that’s filled with love, gentle encouragement, and a little adventure. Whether you already have furry companions or you're looking for your one-and-only, I’m ready to give you my heart. The family that’s right for me will understand that I’m affectionate, playful, and sensitive in the best way ready to learn, connect, and grow by your side.
