My story

Meet Suki – The Most Polite Husky This Side of the Arctic Yes, you read that right — Suki is a male Husky, he’s 2 years old, drop-dead handsome, and he’s rewriting the Husky stereotype one calm blink at a time. While most Huskies are busy yelling at shadows or trying to dig their way to Canada, Suki is out here being… well, chill. He came in as a stray with his buddy Takanni, and while they’re clearly best bros (like a Disney duo just waiting for their sled dog spinoff), they don’t have to be adopted together. Suki’s confident enough to fly solo if the right home comes along — especially one with snacks, squeaky toys, and a warm couch. Here’s the plot twist: Suki is dog-friendly AND cat-gentle. We know, it sounds fake. But we’ve seen it. He walks past cats like a gentleman passing royalty. He’s all, “Excuse me, Your Feline Majesty,” and keeps it moving. He’s calm, well-mannered, and might even come with a secret British accent. We’re not saying he drinks tea, but he does sit like he’s posing for a fancy oil painting. Ideal home: – Someone who gets Huskies (you know, the whole “smart, stubborn, stunning drama llama” thing) – Fenced yard (Husky 101) – Other dog friends? Yes, please. – Cats? Surprisingly possible. – Someone who doesn’t mind a few white hairs on black pants Suki is ready to be your chill adventure buddy, your couch companion, your snow-day soulmate. Come meet him before he politely trots into someone else’s life. If interested, please call the shelter at 231-861-5395 and leave a message to be placed on this dog's adoption list. No obligation, but it reserves your place in line on the list. The shelter will contact individuals as they appear on the list. Ask about adoption transportation assistance if you do not live in the local area. The adoption fee is $95 and you receive certificates for $50 towards spay/neuter and $10 towards rabies vaccine if not already done. All dogs are heartworm tested, receive a DHLPP, flea and tick treatment, a bordetella vaccination and are dewormed.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Suki, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
