My story

CURRENT LOCATION: Richmond, VA Say Hello to Tylan! PERSONALITY Tylan is sweet, snuggly, and laid back. He instantly melts in to your arms when he is held and he won’t leave your side! His ideal day consists of snuggling in bed and watching tv after playing with his toys. He is still rather timid, especially outside. He is learning to walk on a leash but he prefers to lay in the grass and roll around. His foster family is working with him to try to get him more comfortable with city noises and cars— as they make him nervous to where he won’t want to walk anymore. Aside from the noises, he is able to entertain himself. He is especially very social and loves to make friends with people! COMPANIONSHIP Tylan loves to snuggle and to be held. He is happiest when receiving heavy affection. Such a love bug! He is a complete shadow pup and loves to follow his people around. He absolutely loves being around ALL people! He is so happy being social that he doesn’t seem to worry about what’s going on around the house and yard, he doesn’t have the greatest attention span yet. He’s also convinced that he’s a lapdog. He shows his loyalty and excitement by coming to you and laying his head on you. From there, he is all about the snuggles! TRAINING AND LEARNING Tylan is completely potty, leash, and crate trained. He knows the commands “sit” and “lay” and he is working on the “with me” command while on his leash. He is slightly distracted, social guy that he is. He does not guard his food, bark a lot, or counter surf…such a gentleman! He is still, calm, and quiet when riding in the car. Overall he is an easy going guy, a total sweetheart, and is working on building his confidence to get past his timidity, especially when his people aren’t around. LOVE AND AFFECTION Tylan is as snuggly as they get! He LOVES love! He gives kisses, loves to get hugs, belly and ear scratches, and he loves to be right by your side. His favorite places to sleep are on people, near people or in the sun. He is calm with cats, but he has not had the chance to be around children and other pups. IDEAL HOME Tylan is well rounded and would do well either in a quiet home with just one or two adults, or even in an active house with kids and other pets. He does not need a big yard or lots of opportunities to hike or take long walks. He would do well in an apartment, as he loves to lounge indoors. He is happy just being chill with his people. He is currently learning basic pup skills, and is a turnkey pup ready to join his forever family!
