My story

Hello!  My name is Isabelle.  I’m a 3-year-old Cocker Spaniel/Poodle/Dachshund blend girl who weighs 20 lbs. It has been said that I am a gorgeous girl with my flowing red coat.  Besides beauty, I am a curious and enthusiastic “wiggle butt” who is looking to find my forever home filled with love . . .  and LOTS of toys. General Behavior: Isabelle’s foster family describes her as sweet, active and smart. She is a snuggly girl who is also quite athletic.  She does have anxiety when her people leave the house, and she becomes quite vocal (but she calms down fairly quickly). Likes & Dislikes: Isabelle LOVES many things, but playing with squeaky toys is at the top of her list. In fact, the louder the squeak, the better.  She loves to play ball and will happily play for hours (if allowed) and put her athleticism on full display.   Training: Isabelle has done great with house training and will even let her foster know when she has to go outside.  She walks well on a leash, has good basic manners and loves riding in the car.  She is also food-motivated, which lends itself nicely to additional training. Medical: Isabelle is a healthy girl who just needs monthly heartworm and flea/tick prevention, like any other dog.   Other Animals: Isabelle has experience with dogs of all sizes and generally ignores them.  She has not been tested with cats, but her foster feels it would probably not be a good fit. Children:  Isabelle would be best suited in a home with children 8 and older. Home:  Isabelle is a vocal girl who will bark when she wants out, when she wants to eat, and when she wants to play.  Because of this, as well as her anxiety when left alone, a single-family home will be necessary. Isabelle has free rein of her foster home and gladly sleeps in the “people bed” at night. She'd prefer a home where her humans are around more often than not. Grooming: Isabelle requires regular at-home grooming with baths and brushing to prevent matting and professional grooming every couple of months to keep her beautiful coat in tip top shape. Overall: If you are looking for an affectionate, playful girl who is sure to bring love and laughter to your home, Isabelle could be the one for you. Are you the one for Isabelle? Then visit our website www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org where you will find the application to adopt. You will be put in contact with the foster family for more information if it is a potential match. She is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, heartworm negative, spayed and has pearly whites due to her recent dental cleaning.  Her adoption donation is $400. ##2415749##

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Isabelle, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
