My story

Adoption Fee Covered + Free Training! Great news! Rebekah's adoption fee has been fully covered by a generous supporter, and OPH is including six virtual training sessions with a certified trainer during the first 60 days to help set you both up for success! Current Location: Alexandria, VA About Rebekah - Your Loyal, Loving Adventure Buddy! Rebekah is a 4-year-old, 55 lb sweetheart who is looking for her forever home! She’s a local celebrity, strutting her stuff on WMAR-2 News’ and stole the show! Her most iconic features? Her bat ears and her absolute love for humans and kiddos! Personality: If you’re looking for a dog who adores her people, Rebekah is your girl! She is incredibly affectionate and she’s happiest when she’s by your side, soaking up pets and love. She’s also food-motivated and eager to please, making her a great candidate for continued training. She is fully house- and crate-trained - in fact, she sleeps soundly for 9 hours in her crate without making a peep (and will happily go in for a treat!). Energy Level: Rebekah is a chameleon! During the weekdays, she loves chewing a bully-stick or sleeping while her foster mom works from home. At night, she will happily “Netflix and chill.” On weekends, she will happily join you on a trail walk or a “sniffari” around the neighborhood before settling in. Skills and Training: She walks well on a leash most of the time—just a little zig-zagging here and there! Like many pups, she’s very curious about squirrels and other critters on walks, but who isn’t?! She’s a car ride enthusiast and would love to be your road trip buddy! She knows “sit” and “crate” in her foster home. She can be a bit of a rascal - she’s a bit of a counter surfer (tall girl perks!) and likes to jump up for affection. With her intelligence and love for treat, she will continue to work on training in her foster home! Companionship: Rebekah can be a choosy with her dog friends, so she will need slow introductions in any new household. In a previous foster home, she lived with her bestie: a 60-lb male lab-mix. He found his forever home and she’s just waiting on hers! Love and Affection: This sweetheart adores her people! She thrives on structure and routine. She is currently on prescription medications that help her live her best and happiest life – just like many humans! She will shower you with love and affection in her forever home. If you’re looking for an affectionate, fun-loving companion who will be your shadow and your best friend, Rebekah is waiting to meet you! Included Veterinary Care: ✔ Visit to veterinarian for health certificate ✔ Up to date on vaccinations ✔ Spayed ✔ Microchipped ✔ Heartworm preventative ✔ Flea & tick preventative ✔ Worm/parasite treatments

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Rebekah, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
