My story

Fern, a 1-2 year old Black Mouth Cur/Rodeshian Ridgeback mix (our best guess), found us. She was found on a street by a friend of the rescue and then another friend offered to foster her so she could serve her stray hold in a home vs. a shelter. Because she has a registered microchipped, we were hopeful her family who named her would be looking for her. However, calls to the contact info on file went unanswered so after a few weeks, Fern is officially part of our rescue and looking for her forever home. It’s clear Fern has been well taken care of previously. She knows sits, down, & shake. She is housebroken and able to be left uncrated. Fern is fostered with a larger female dog and they are a playful pair! Fern on her own is a good on walks and and good in the car. She is unbothered in social settings with other dogs and kids. Fern is around ~ 50 pounds, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, kept on flea/tick/heartworm prevention, spayed & microchipped.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Fern, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
