My story

He might not wear a badge, but Ranger’s on patrol for treats and love! Since coming to the shelter as a stray, Ranger has been a gentle and sweet companion. He has been wiggly and friendly with volunteers and also has spent time with other dogs at the shelter. We are still getting to know Ranger more, but don’t let that stop you from coming to meet him yourself! Come to ACCT and meet him today! ACCT is open every day from 10am to 6pm. He walked well on leash and showed a love for treats. On June 21st, he had two walk sessions. In both, he was noted to be easy to walk and enjoyed sniffing around. One note mentioned he pulls slightly at times, occasionally choking himself on the leash. June 22nd, Ranger continued to enjoy sniffing and was noted to be potty trained. On June 25th, he was described as easygoing and sweet. He was again noted to be sweet, potty trained, and easy on leash on his walk June 27th. Per Volunteer 6/29/25: When we approached his kennel he had a very loose body and wiggly mannerisms. Very easy to leash and walks well on leash with some pulling. Outside in the yard, the most wiggly boy! Very affectionate and loves to get pets all over, wiggles into you and flops all over on the ground. He knows sit very well and takes treats Pretty gently! Low Maintenance and pretty low to medium energy really just moving to get more snuggles. 6/24/25: Ranger pulled minimally coming out his kennel with a wiggling body and soft eyes. he was social with people and kids that passed by. he was super gentle and allowed all handling (gentle giant). he was great on leash and was dog social. at no point in time did he stop wagging and wiggling. 6/18/25 Playgroup notes: Very excited for greetings, semi-steerable, engaged in play, very playful, play bows, pushy, mounting Medical: 6/27/25: ISO Dog Assessment 6/27/25 PM Mentation: BAR Appetite: normal Resp.
