Meet Beauty – Our Resilient Husky Mix Looking for Her Furever HomeBeauty is as sweet as her name suggests. This gorgeous husky mix, just over a year old and about 36 pounds, has had a tough start in life. After being adopted last year, she was sadly passed between homes before ending up on the streets for nearly a month. Thankfully, animal control safely trapped her and brought her back to us—tired, tick-covered, and ready for a fresh start.Despite everything, Beauty’s heart remains open. She absolutely loves other dogs and would thrive in a home with playful canine siblings. She’s great with children too—though a little shy at first—and she’s even passed her cat test (though she wouldn’t be happy in a home with just cats).Beauty enjoys her toys and does an adorable little hop when she plays. Walks are her favorite, even if she pulls a bit from pure excitement—training will help her learn polite leash skills. She can be a little nervous meeting new people but warms up quickly, especially if treats are involved. Her real love, though? Gentle pets and affection.She’s not high-maintenance: Beauty loves to relax outside, soaking up the breeze. While a fenced yard would be a bonus, it’s not required.Now, the tough part: Beauty has double hip dysplasia. Unfortunately, our shelter doesn’t have the funds for her surgery, so her future family will need to manage her care. We know this is a big ask, but we also know someone out there will see past her diagnosis and recognize the sweet soul she is.Beauty has been through so much. She deserves stability, love, and a home where she can finally rest easy. If you’re ready to give her that chance, she’s ready to love you forever.Thank you for showing an interest in our pets.
