My story

If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please complete  an Adoption Request Form. This is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about our adoption process, please visit our Adoption Process page on our website at www.rescuecrew.org. Hi there! My name is Fae and I’m currently accepting applications for my forever home and this ADORABLE underbite I have. Yup, it’s part of the package you lucky duck! I’m sure the cute face and underbite already sold you but let me tell you about myself to ensure we have a deeper connection. Before I came to my foster home, I was a Texas gal. I was rescued from a hoarded home (I know, I know. Not an ideal start to life.) with my tiny little puppy. I was an amazing Mom, and my pup is living her best life in her adoptive home so now it’s my turn! This challenging start to my life has led me to be a quirky girl but, uh, what chihuahua (mix) isn’t. Am I right?! It’s a little hard to brag about yourself on the internet so I asked my foster mom to describe me so I could include that here for you. She wanted me to tell potential adopters that even though I take a little bit to warm up, I am well worth it. I am so happy, fun, and full of life! I make her laugh every day. I am incredibly sweet and loving! She absolutely adores me. She also wanted me to mention that I make super cute talking noises when I’m excited. Ok, it’s Fae again. That’s all true. Meeting new people can be stressful for me due to my start in life. Don’t most of us have social anxiety nowadays, though? I just do some barking and maybe throw some hair up on my back until I know someone is cool. If you have a busy household with lots of people coming and going, that probably won’t be ideal for me. A home with small children would probably be overwhelming for me as well. I also prefer slower intros to other dogs, so I probably won’t ever be a dog park gal. Don’t worry though! I really, really love other dogs. I just need time to warm up to them. My foster parents have other dogs of all sizes, and I LOVE them all! They just made sure to take things slow and now they are all great friends that I love running around and playing with. I also provide routine dental care for other dogs. No, truly! I made sure foster mom attached a picture of me performing my services on one of her dogs. Oral hygiene is a bit of an obsession of mine so that requires some patience on the other dog’s part. Once a dog and I are friends, I don’t really follow any personal boundaries. *shrugs* Sleeping arrangements are pretty important to me so let’s get that out of the way early. Basically, I’m going to want to be under the blankets with you. Again, I’m a chihuahua mix. What did you expect? I just burrow under and sleep by your feet for most of the night! Cuddling level: expert. My foster parents are working on potty training with me since that isn’t something that I was ever taught! The good news is that I use potty pads well while working on this. More good news is that I love to be outside, so I’ll get there with some patience! Speaking of outside, my foster home has a fenced in yard and I really enjoy it. I walk well on a leash too, but I really enjoy being outside in the yard exploring and playing with toys and the other dogs. If you had a fenced in yard, that would be amazing! I also wanted to mention that I take security very seriously and will make sure to sound the alarm (bark) if there are suspicious things happening such as a UPS driver coming up the driveway, a pizza delivery driver trying to deliver your dinner or even another human coming home that lives here. Every day, my foster dad comes home from work and the second I hear the garage door opening, the barking and howling commences. You never know! It could be a stranger! You’re welcome. Anyway, due to my built-in alarm system, a home with shared walls probably isn’t a good idea. Ok, I’ll wrap this up so you can submit your application now. I’m ready to give all my love to my forever person/people. After my tough start and raising my pup, it’s time for me to be spoiled like I deserve! I am a bundle of fun and happiness and I hope to find my perfect fit soon! Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives prior to adoption.   The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a physical location where you can stop by to visit the animals - we require the completion of an Adoption Request Form prior to meeting any of our adoptable pets in foster care. For the most complete information regarding this animal, and all of our adoptable pets, please ensure you are visiting our website directly at www.RescueCrew.org. You can also access the necessary online forms here as well.  ##2381027##

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Fae, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
