My story

Looking to add a playful puppy to your family? Well my name is Lightning and I may be a great addition to your family. I am a handsome fellow with a soft black coat with hints of brown brindle running through it and ears that go on for days. I am six months and weigh 33 pounds and will be a big boy when fully grown. I am a well-rounded pup who has lived with young children, other dogs and cats. I am also crate trained. Like all puppies, I am an active dog who loves to run and play. My favorite game is fetch and I will even bring the ball back to you (well most of the time!). I also like playing with stuffies that squeak and am a big fan of water. I love the baby pool here at the shelter! I would make the perfect partner for an active person who loves going on outdoor adventures. I would make a great running or hiking buddy. As I am still very young, I am looking for someone who can provide me with the guidance and training that I will need. But I am off to a really good start -- I do a perfect sit for my treats. So if you have an active lifestyle and are looking for loving four-legged friend, we may just be the perfect match. I can't wait to meet you!
