My story

Meet Kiki! A spirited two-and-a-half-year-old Belgian Malinois/Siberian Husky mix currently living in San Diego, CA, whose essence is a dazzling mix of athleticism, loyalty, and soulful eyes wrapped in a black and beige coat. Kiki is the kind of sidekick that superheroes dream of! Whether you're tackling yard work, hiking through the hills, or cozying up for a movie night, her one true mission is to be by your side. She's got brains to spare—this girl learns commands like "kangaroo" (yes, she jumps in a circle!) and "bedtime" faster than you can grab her Kong toy. Fetch is her greatest passion, and her enthusiasm for the game is as boundless as her energy. With excellent recall and a true love for off-leash romps in quiet spaces, she’s made for outdoor adventures with a human who appreciates both movement and moments of peace. Kiki is beautifully complex. Rescued as a puppy, she’s shown tremendous resilience but carries with her a deep fear of new people and busy environments, especially children. While she’s never shown aggression—just heartfelt caution—she is currently taking daily Prozac to help ease her anxiety. She is incredibly bonded with other dogs and thrives with canine companionship, often greeting dogs of all sizes with happy, playful energy. Kiki’s ideal home is one steeped in calm—a rural or low-traffic environment, with a dog-savvy guardian who values her sensitivity and needs a shadow for hikes, cuddles, and the occasional ball-chasing marathon. She’s fully house-trained, microchipped, spayed, and up to date on vaccinations. And yes, she’s got a full repertoire of obedience skills and is eager to keep learning through positive reinforcement!
