Meet Coconut – 100 Pounds of Pure Love Coconut has been waiting patiently, quietly, and sweetly—wondering when it will finally be his turn. At over 100 pounds, he may look like a tough guy, but don’t be fooled—this gentle giant is nothing but a soft, gooey marshmallow inside. Coconut was never meant for the chaos of shelter life. He’s the kind of dog who thrives in calm, cozy spaces surrounded by love. At the shelter, he’s known as the unofficial greeter, welcoming every visitor with hopeful eyes and a slow wag of his tail. He adores people and lives for their attention—pressing his big head gently into your chest just to feel close. Despite his size, Coconut is easygoing and mellow. He’s dog-friendly with the right, respectful introductions and prefers hanging out nearby rather than being the life of the party. Treats are his love language, snuggles are his currency, and he’s convinced the couch was invented just for him. He’s also scheduled to have his cherry eye repaired during his neuter surgery—just one more step toward the healthy, happy life he deserves. Coconut is ready for a foster or forever home that will offer him what he’s been waiting so patiently for: a soft place to rest, a kind hand to hold, and a family to call his own. Adoption is $275, which includes spay/neuter at our vet, vaccines, dewormer, microchip, and clean bill of health. Although we work to potty train all of our dogs, we cannot guarantee full house training before adoption. Regression is a normal part of transitioning to a new home.
