My story

Giselle von Gersten is a beautiful 2-3 year old classic German Shepherd with a heart as sweet as her smile. This loving girl is eager to be close to her people and thrives on attention—she’ll happily nuzzle in for pets and affection. Giselle is affectionate, social, and always ready to make a new friend. She enjoys meeting people and other dogs on walks. Her sweet nature makes her a joy to have by your side. In playgroups, Giselle does wonderfully. She enters calmly, explores the yard with curiosity, and maintains a mellow, friendly presence. While she isn’t overly interactive, she doesn’t mind playful dogs running or playing nearby and prefers to calmly mingle and observe. She’s a social girl with a laid-back spirit. Mixes are "softer" and somewhat more malleable. Exceptions can be made, however, for first-time adopters who show the confidence and leadership tendencies that purebreds will respect and respond to. Counselors have to use good judgment in assessing the attributes of the adopter, as well as of the dog. If you have doubts, get a second opinion from Robin or another experienced counselor.
