My story

PAPO von Parsau is a 1-2 year old handsome, tall shepherd that is the full package—gentle, friendly, and full of heart. At 71 lbs and standing 26 inches tall, Papo walks beautifully on a leash, staying right by your side with a wagging tail and a big smile. He’s a happy-go-lucky guy who loves to be around people and is always ready for some affection—he’ll even rest his head in your lap or gently tap your hand for pets. Papo is crate trained, house and yard savvy, and loves other animals. He’s great with kids, dogs, and even has been around cats. In playgroups, Papo is calm, social, and polite—always ready to greet new friends with a tail wag. Whether he’s exploring the yard or playing with a small puppy, he’s a joy to be around. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion with a sweet, easygoing personality, Papo is your guy. He’s ready to fill your home with love, tail wags, and the occasional snuggle. Mixes are "softer" and somewhat more malleable. Exceptions can be made, however, for first-time adopters who show the confidence and leadership tendencies that purebreds will respect and respond to. Counselors have to use good judgment in assessing the attributes of the adopter, as well as of the dog. If you have doubts, get a second opinion from Robin or another experienced counselor.
