My story

Say hello to Cairo – the Sweet Soul with a Brave Heart! Just like the vibrant city she's named after, Cairo is full of quiet strength and hidden energy. She may be a little unsure when faced with new things, but don’t let that fool you—this girl has a heart full of love and is slowly learning that the world isn’t such a scary place. With a gentle touch and some patience, Cairo blossoms into the sweetest, most affectionate cuddle buddy around. Cairo especially loves being outdoors. Whether she’s lounging in the grass or sniffing every corner of the yard, she finds peace and joy in the fresh air. She plays with her siblings and toys, but she also values calm moments and one-on-one connection with her humans. Cairo and her 10 siblings were born on May 3, 2025, and rescued from a heartbreaking situation—starving, covered in fleas, and full of parasites on a property overwhelmed with dogs. Neither parent was on-site when they were found, so their breed mix is a mystery—but they’re undeniably special. Now safe and thriving in a foster home in Fort Worth, Texas, Cairo is looking for a forever family who will help her continue to build confidence and feel secure. Like all puppies, she’ll need training, patience, and lots of love as she grows. If you’re looking for a gentle companion with a courageous heart, Cairo is ready to find her way into yours. All of our dogs are located in a foster home in Texas, Colorado, or Pennsylvania. Our dogs are transported to a predetermined location agreed upon by the rescue. The adoption contract and fee are finalized prior to transport. As a Mutts N Such direct adoption, the adoption interview/meet and greet occurs on video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Facetime, etc).Our out of state adoption fee is $350 plus transport (varies by location). This fee includes all current vaccinations, deworming, a registered microchip, fecal analysis, spay/neuter for pets 6 months & older, and a heartworm test if over 6 months old. All dogs will be current on flea/heartworm prevention. A health exam will be completed and a certificate issued by a veterinarian within 10 days.
