My story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.    PLEASE NOTE: GPMR communicates primarily by email.  If you have any questions regarding one of our Mastiffs, please read their bio and if you still have questions - drop us an email at GPMastiffRescue@gmail.com.  If you have questions about our adoption procedures, please go to our page called 'Adoption Info.'  We answer email inquiries daily.    GPMR does not have a shelter. All of our dogs are kept in loving foster homes. We must have a completed adoption application on file before meeting any of our mastiffs.    GPMR adopts to the states of Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, Arkansas, Missouri, Louisiana and parts of Colorado.  !!!Any mastiffs being adopted out of the state of Oklahoma require a health certificate to be paid for by the adopter!!!       Meet Saint! He was surrendered by his owner due to financial reasons and the owner's health issues. He was purchased from Petland as a puppy and was born in Jan 2024. Saint is a stunning Mastiff boy with a heart as big as his paws. A true social butterfly, Saint is super dog friendly and absolutely loves everyone he meets - tail wags and happy grins are guaranteed. He currently lives with medium size dogs and a 15 pound Havanese mix. He loves to play with the small dog and when he gets a little too rough with her, she tells him all about it! He lopes away for a minute and then comes back for more.Saint's friendly nature makes him a joy to be around, and he’s always up for some playtime or a cuddle. We think of him as a big goofball! He is still a puppy and is growing into his big feet. Saint would do best in a home with other dogs to play with, he would do well with an active family that he could be a part of. He probably would not do well with cats or very small kids because can be very rambunctious. He loves car rides and is a great traveler. Thunderstorms and fireworks do scare him - he likes to go into a dark closet to sleep during those times.Saint was diagnosed with mild hip dyslasia. It's not anything that will require surgery but he should be kept on joint supplements (just like all giant breed dogs should!) and also kept a lean and healthy weight. Daily excercise will help keep his muscles strong. Like many of our dogs, Saint tested positive for heartworms. He is getting ready to undergo heartworm treatment and will be adoptable as soon as he finishes that. You could not ask for a sweeter, more lovable giant goofball of a dog!Saint is being fostered in Tulsa, OKVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Save a Mastiff...Adopt, Foster, Volunteer!July 13, 2025, 12:17 pm
