Reed

My story

Reed found himself at the shelter with his pal Tyson after their owner passed away. It was clear he was very loved, as he was very sweet and appears to be in a good shape (though could stand to lose a few pounds!). The family member who cared for them for a month shared they Reed listens well and is great with kids, and enjoys playing with other dogs. Reed is very frightened at the shelter, trembling in his kennel while he waits for a new home. He is hoping someone will open their heart and home to him Come meet Reed at ACCT Philly any day between 10 am and 6 pm! Video: Petting Reed: https://youtu.be/x0zxN2ItuXo Behavior: Per Volunteer 6/19/25 Behavior Eval: Kennel Presence: He was laying on his bed when I approached his kennel and sat up calmly while he waited for me to open the door. Came right to the front of the kennel and allowed me to loop him very easily. Leash: He is really great on leash without much pulling, he’s responsive to his handler. Handling: When we got to the play yard, he sniffed around and was a bit avoidant of me. Spent the entire time trying to eat the plants and grass out there. When I took his leash and sat with him on a bench he took pets all over with very loose body language. Loves butt scratches! So very open to handling when he’s not distracted.
