My story

This petite little girl was found by a couple of volunteers from the rescue with a homeless man. The homeless man was slapping her in the face, and states, "this is the way we treat our dogs in Hawaii". The rescue volunteers offered $25 for Apricot and she came into the rescue! We are working with Apricot to get her confidence level up and to let her know she will get her next meal. She, at this point, is food motivated and will not tolerate another fur buddy getting her food. We recommend feeding her separately for a while. This pretty little thing is up to date on vaccines, spayed, microchipped and heartworm negative! We were so relieved to learn she was negative for heartworm as she has been living in the woods with the bugs and mosquitoes.....but no more! She, at this point, needs help with potty training; but it is understandable as we re sure she s not been taught about good potty habits (she is getting better with potty training though). If you have questions about Apricot or would like to meet her, please call the rescue at 9105269619!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Apricot, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
