My story

Forest is estimated to be a 5 month old mixed boy who hopped a flight all the way from Texas with his sister Faye hoping for a better chance at her forever home. He so far has grown up in a shelter so we wanted to get him into a foster home first thing. So far in his foster home he has made friends both human and dogs. So far he is doing well in her kennel and doesn’t make a big fuss or calms down quickly when he does. He is having minimal to no accidents but of course in a new home, with new routine and a schedule change, patience will be needed as he is still a puppy. Routine will help him become 100%. He didn’t have many leash skills as she was previously in a shelter environment so that is something we are working on currently. Forest is asking for a home that can keep training him so he can be the best rescue advocate. He is also the type to be medium energy so far but ready for an adventure so as he continues to gain confidence we know he will be your best tag along friend. Forest is available for adoption within 3 hours of the Chicago area. His adoption fee includes his neuter, up to date vaccines and prevention, dewormer and microchip. If you are interested in being considered his forever home apply directly. If you have any questions before applying please email adopt@chicagorescueauthority.org.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Forest, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
