My story

Betsy is estimated to be a 4 year old Havanese. She came to us from one of our rescue partners looking for a fresh start after being released from a commercial breeder. She came along side her bestfriend Bisty, who is estimated to be between 5-6 years old. Here they were used for profit and now are learning what it’s like to be a normal dog. We did decide to separate the two of them and see if they were bonded and thankfully, both of them easily adjusted apart. What they really needed was just a patient household and a confident dog that will help allow her to come out of her shell. As a lot of other commercial breeds dogs she is looking for a home that can provide patience, love and training. She is affectionate and definitely wants attention which isn’t always the case. However she will need work on basic things as in: - Potty training as she probably lived in a kennel majority of her time and is learning routine on going in and out. - Leash training as this is the first time she’s worn a leash or harness. - She will be adjusting to a new environment and so reassurance when she there are loud noises or new things will be so helpful.
