Moses

My story

Moses is a 7 year old male Tortie.  He is a pretty cat and a big boy weighing in at 17.28 lbs!  Moses’s owner passed away recently and he has been with his foster family since that happened. His former owner was a loving elderly man who adored Moses. He was well cared for and lived in a small but safe home. Moses is a talker and has a soft meow for such a big boy but if he wants to he can bellow pretty well!  Moses loves to be pet and sit in our laps!  He loves to be in the same area with family.  He is used to small space so he will find one room in the home and spend a lot of time there while he ventures out to explore. Then he will come out more and more as he gets comfortable.  The transition of losing his owner was stressful for him; yet he showed us quickly that he has so much more love to give and receive!  One of his favorite spots is up on a tall cat tree or sleeping soundly on the couch. Moses will do best in a home without hyper and energetic dogs. He does well with dogs but when they are high energy he won’t come out when they are around. An older, mellow dog who doesn’t pay him any mind is best scenario if a family has a dog. He does well with other cats. He is not overly dominant but also not passive. He would do great as an only cat too! If you are looking for a sweet, loving and chatty cat, he is your guy!
