My story

I’m Juneau, and the first thing you need to know about me is that in addition to my striking good looks and beautiful blue eyes, I am a wonderfully loving and well-mannered dog who overcame a lot and will be a devoted companion to whomever adopts me! A little about my background: a Good Samaritan reached out to WAAL when they saw that I was being kept tied up outside with no protection from the weather. Then, after I was surrendered to WAAL, I had to get healthy again. But here I am now, fully recovered and ready to find my forever family. I am a dog who wants to be with my family, doing whatever they are doing, whether that be a laid-back movie night on the couch, hanging out outside, or going for a walk. While I have some cool husky traits, like my ability to “talk” about my feelings rather than bark, I have a more laidback energy. I am potty trained and crate trained, and I even ask permission before jumping on a lap or on the couch! I would be a great family dog for older kids and also get along with most other dogs: we would just need to meet to make sure our personalities mesh. If you have a backyard, I would need a six-foot fence. Since I have some amazing jumping abilities, I shouldn’t be left outside unsupervised.
