My story

Basil, a member of the Basil and Jaxon duo, is thriving in her foster home. This gorgeous sable puppy shares her home with a fantastic resident shepherd who enjoys guiding all the foster pups that make their way to his house.  Basil loves chew toys, her shepherd bro, her people, and learning lots of skills and good manners. She loves cuddles, belly rubs, toys, and food. Benebones are awesome when Basil's teeth really ache and we love to receive donations of shepherd appropriate chew toys through our Chewy and Amazon wishlists. Crate and potty training are all dialed in, along with practicing recall in public. She regularly heads to the gym for a social hour while her folks work out. Since some of her foster family members work from home, Basil has also developed daytime management skills. Her foster family loves to train their dogs, and Basil has developed solid sits, downs, and stays, along with other skills she'd love to show you when you meet her.  This sweetie will continue to thrive in a forever home, where she will be exposed to a balanced environment, allowing her to build on the excellent foundation she's receiving in her foster home, along with ongoing training and structure, which shepherd puppies need to grow into well-adjusted adult dogs.  Jaxon has found his forever family, and we'll be thrilled to see sweet Basil find her great match, too.  Found on a rural road, Basil and Jaxon were lucky that the finder's sister is deeply involved in helping shelter dogs find positive outcomes. Although they knew the pups had been dumped, they sought to locate the owners as required and vaccinated and cared for the puppies until it was time to place these sweet pups with us to match them to great, forever families.  Have you checked out our YouTube channel?
