My story

Hi there! My name is Penn. I was just a few weeks old when I came from Alabama with my siblings. I’ve been living in a foster home with my brother (who recently found his family) and two other resident dogs. I love playing with both of them; one is a two-year-old dog, and the other is a six-month-old puppy. While I’m having a great time learning to live in a home and playing, I can’t help but dream of having my own family someday.I’m doing well with potty training. If I’m taken out on a regular schedule, I don’t have any accidents. I sleep in my crate at night and anytime my family is away from home. My crate has toys and something to chew on, so I’m occupied. Whenever my foster mom grabs a treat and starts walking towards my crate, I immediately put myself in there. I’m a good boy and always try to please. I’m still working on learning to sit, but I’m getting there.If you sit down, I’ll come sit on the couch with you. I’ll bring a toy or a bone and relax right next to you. You can come meet me at an adoption event or fill out an application to show interest. That way, you’ll get a meet-and-greet with me!Are you going to be my person? Please note that the majority of our dogs in rescue are from shelters where they have been found as strays or abandoned. Their breed description is based on our very best educated guess based on physical characteristics and their dispositions.
