My story

Gideon is a very handsome 4.5-year-old Australian Cattle Dog (Blue Heeler) mix with striking good looks and a playful spirit. While he can be a bit shy at first, once he gets to know you (especially if you bring treats!), his fun and affectionate side shines through. Gideon loves to play fetch, run around the yard, and even do a little digging—he’s always up for some outdoor fun! He’s potty trained, knows his basic training cues, and is eager to learn. Gideon has done well playing with other dogs but would do best in a home with no cats or small animals. Because Gideon can be a bit nervous, he would thrive in a quieter home with kids aged 12 and up who can help him feel safe and understood. With time, patience, and love, Gideon will make a loyal and lively companion. Stop in and meet Gideon in person during our adoption hours. All of our dogs and puppies go home spayed or neutered, microchipped, and heartworm tested (for dogs 7 months and older). They are also up to date on core vaccines, as well as heartworm, flea, and tick preventatives. Each adoption includes a 3.5-pound bag of dog or puppy food and a free vet exam at one of our participating veterinary partners.
