My story

Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure Noodle finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails).   Meet Noodle – the Sweetest Senior Sidekick! At 12 years young and just 10.5 pounds, Noodle is a petite Beagle mix with a huge heart and plenty of personality. This darling girl was a direct surrender from the only home she’d ever known, and while it’s been a big transition, she’s adjusting beautifully in her foster home. Noodle is a total sweetheart with a calm, easygoing nature. She loves her people and prefers being close by—whether it’s curling up next to you on the couch or sleeping in her dog bed beside your bed at night (she used to sleep on the bed, but she's been a good sport about the change!). She’s extremely food-motivated and adores puzzle toys and treats, which makes her both fun and easy to train. Don’t let her age fool you—Noodle is spry, spunky, and loves going for walks! She’s great on a leash and enjoys her outings, but she’s also perfectly content snoozing the day away while you work or relax. She’s not destructive at all, so her fosters give her free roam of the house when they’re gone, and she spends most of the time napping. Noodle gets along well with both men and women and does fine with other dogs. Her reaction to cats and children is unknown, but she tends to be low-key and respectful, so a calm environment would be best. She barks only when there’s a good reason—like a knock at the door or an unusual sound—making her a great little watchdog. Crates? Not her thing. She’ll let you know—loudly—that she’d rather not. But since she’s house-trained and well-behaved, she really doesn’t need one. Ideal home: A low-energy, quiet home with someone looking for a loving, loyal companion. She’d thrive in a place where she can get plenty of affection, a few strolls a day, and lots of cozy naps. Noodle truly is the definition of an easy dog. If you’re looking for a gentle, devoted snuggle buddy who still enjoys the occasional adventure, Noodle might just be your perfect match.   If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives!  A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you.  The adoption fee for this pet is $100. Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.  Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all vaccinations after adoption. Please fill out an adoption application by clicking  here . Please give us 48 hours to review your application and respond to you. (Remember to check your spam folder for our emails!) We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email dogs@arrcolorado.org for more information, as we can't accept calls.PLEASE NOTE:  The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter.  Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets.  Here is some interesting info on breed identification:  https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/ Our adoption process is: 1. Fill out our Adoption Application online.  We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting.  Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member! If you have any questions or would like to adopt Noodle, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
