My story

Ripley enjoys butt scratches and being close to the one he loves. He tends to only bark when he feels the need to let you know something, like putting on the night light so he can fall sleep feeling safe. He will complain if the night light isn't left on. He is Crate trained, house broken and very smart. But will need time to adjust to his new home. He may get confused and or scared in a new environment. It is important to give him time to decompress. Follow the 3-3-3 adoption rule. He is very loyal, affectionate, and obedient but again will need time to settle his new home. Bonding doesn't happen overnight. He responds best to fair, consistent training and clear instructions without force; Use positive reinforcement! He is shy around people he doesn't know, unless the person he knows is present. Has a good recall, knows sits, walks on a leash. Does great on car rides. He will require a fully fenced and secure yard. He will need room to run and play. Would do best with another dog if possible to play. Home check will required. To ensure the home is one Ripley will be comfortable and Secure . He prefers to be outside when possible (weather permits) . He loves to run and play in the water. He prefers someone that will be his partner in exploring the world. Good around kids, cats and dogs of all sizes. However, if you are unable to allow you cat time to adjust to a new pet in the home, please don’t apply. Cats tend to potty outside the litter box and show other signs of stress if a new animal is brought into “their” home. Please keep this in mind if you have an indoor cat. Secondly, kids need to know how to properly interact with a new dog. Children should never be left unattended with a dog. Dogs should always he given a “safe place” away from kids. Ripley has been around kids with absolutely no issues but being in a new environment, I he may get scared. So, setting him up for success is important. Third, if applying keep In mind Ripley is a good size , young dog. You must have the physical means to restrain him on a leash. Guessed full adult size to be around 90 lbs, He has a beautiful black coat with a silver undercoat that just shines. He is a beautiful boy. High-quality food is highly recommended to keep him in excellent health. Please no drys, cheap junk food. Should be high in protein. Good quality dog food. Ripley is Neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped and ready to begin the rest of this life. Adoptions come with 14 day trial periods, transition food, New leash, New collar and post adoption support. and a free evaluation by a professional trainer.
