My story

Leena is an absolute sweetheart who will melt your heart. She’s affectionate, silly, and a total goofball at home. Her favorite things? Snuggling with her people, playing with her stuffies, and galloping around the yard. She’ll even surprise you with the funny positions she finds to nap in!Leena’s favorite activity of all time is chasing the garden hose—she could do it all day long! She also loves soaking up the sun and enjoying the outdoors, then curling up for snuggles at the end of the day. Inside the house, she’s easygoing, fully house-trained, and sleeps through the night.Leena would love to be your one and only pet so she can have all your love to herself. In return, you’ll get a loyal, playful, and snuggly best friend for life!The Seattle Animal Shelter is committed to reducing length of stay for all of our shelter pets! Some pets qualify for FREE or reduced adoption fees, please inquire with our Animal Care team to learn more. Pets are complex beings and prior to adoption, interested adopters will be counseled by a staff member to discuss the specific needs for each animal. This will include reviewing all known medical and behavior information. ** Please note that some animals will receive numerous inquiries, sometimes more than we can process. We appreciate your understanding and patience. **HOW TO ADOPT: Check the animal’s location.From the Dog Kennels/Dog Isolation/Dog Quarantine (in shelter): To meet this dog, please come to Seattle Animal Shelter at 2061 15th Ave W, Seattle, WA 98119, between 1 – 5 pm one of on one of our open days, no appointment needed. We are open on Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. We are closed for adoptions on Monday and all holidays.From Foster Care (out of shelter):1. Copy and paste the adoption survey link into a new tab on your browser: https://www.seattle.gov/documents/Departments/AnimalShelter/Dog%20Adoption%20Questionnaire_Fillable.pdf2. Download and complete the dog survey.3. Save the survey to your device with a new file name that includes your last name. Make sure it`s filled in when opened again.4. Put the name of the dog(s) in the Subject Line of a new email.
