My story

I am looking for a home with a patient person.I can be slow to adjust to new environments. I prefer to take things at my own pace.I prefer to call the shots and enjoy coming to you when I'm ready for pets.I have medical needs that staff will address with you when you meet me.A volunteer writes: Maki seems to be making up for lost time at the Care Center, so he enthusiastically leaps into any chance he believes might come his way. Beneath his efforts to convince everyone that it's what's on the inside that counts is actual progress. He's still a bit skinny and could probably use some extra TLC, but Maki's come a long way in just a short time and it shows. What we know about Maki's life before the shelter dates back only a few weeks. Maki was found on his own and was initially a little unsure when people offered their help. Eventually taking them up on their kind hearted offers, Maki has since decided that shelter life can be what you make it and he's decided to make it a party. Chatting at the front, folding himself into my arms, gently grooming and snuggling his toys and wholeheartedly enjoying his treats, Maki is here and ready for a fresh start.
